Slide Show

This begins with my first car...a 1960 Chevy Biscayne. There's various woods cars...62 Chevy wagon and convertible....the Austin Healey Sprite...1961 VW Karmann Ghia..."the time has come" Rambler...the Rambler wagon which became a "train"...54 Metropolitan that never ran...ditto for the Dodge truck. Though not one of my cars, Scott Smith's "Bweetmobile" is classic woods material. There's the 62 Valiant that saw 60mph on the dirt roads of Parsonsfield in '72 and '73. There's my 51 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe...when I first took it apart...and years later back on the road. My '56 Oldsmobile...did you ever hear the story of how I finally got that running? The 66 Impala convertible from the summer of 74. The VW squareback in which I got 16 tickets in one day. The fine 53 Studebaker which was my first car on the road. The 59 Ford convertible and the 63 "stolen" Chevy that ended it's life. The 50 Chrysler Saratoga...one of 1000 built...and a fine looking wreck when we finished with it. The 55 Dodge Sierra wagon that saw 105mph on a trip to Maine. The beastly 47 Nash...

Unfortunately we were having so much fun we rarely took pictures. Not shown are my '53 Studebaker pickup...yellow with blue fenders. 60 Lark and 51 Commander parts cars. The 66 Pontiac with the OHC 6...the 64 Pontiac Tempest, 65 Ford Galaxi, 67 Ford Fairlane wagon, 62 Mercury Comet, several VWs with and without bodies (Breezewagons), 61 "one day wonder" Rambler, 51 Henry J, and 68 Chevrolet Caprice.

This takes us from September 18th 1971 - August 20th 1975 (The day I joined the Navy)

The first 33 of 98 to date.

And a bonus...

Here is Scott Smiths "Bweetmobile".
